Vignettes
I started capturing vignettes into life naturally on my iPhone, encapsulating small moments into short videos.
I then begun to use this technique for brands such as Jack Daniels, Theeca and DRNKS.
Drawing inspiration from Sam Youkilis's Instagram, I understood the benefit of capturing small, serendipitous moments that make up every day life: from the ambiance of a restaurant to the swirling of a drink. These vignettes can communicate an entire feeling in just a few seconds, often without the need of dialogue or overt storytelling.
They feel observational rather than constructed, capturing moments as they naturally occur and inviting the viewer into a world rather than explicitly trying to sell them something. In a digital landscape increasingly saturated with advertising, branded content and carefully engineered messages, there is something powerful about imagery that feels incidental and human.
