DUCFS
Durham University Charity Fashion Show (DUCFS) is the UK’s largest student-led fundraiser, bringing together fashion, performance and visual art to raise money for charitable causes. Having first been involved as a volunteer, I returned in 2021 as one of ten creatives invited to contribute to RELOAD. The show went on to raise £55,000 for CREATE and 3D Sided Cube charities.
RELOAD was a collaborative creative programme exploring the themes of renewal and rejuvenation.. Working alongside the other creatives, I contributed photographic work which was commissioned to a virtual art gallery by DUCFS in collaboration with Pineapple Black Virtual Arts.
I also collaborated on a poem with award winning poet, Maiya Dambawinna, which we performed during the 2021 show, bringing the creative work developed throughout the year into the live production.
